Has your life become more hectic than ever? Do you find that you become tired more frequently, lose patience easily, experience moodiness, and are so stressed that you can’t think straight? Have you lost contact with your friends? Has fun completely gone out of your life? While we tend to think we can do it all; the problem is we can’t. We forego simple pleasures, take on unnecessary burdens and, quite frankly, put other’s needs before our own. It’s time for depression self help.

The first step to depression self help is to think about you and your needs. If you fall apart, you won’t be of any use to anyone. More often than not, we tolerate many things which essentially drain our energy, leaving us feeling empty and void of feeling. Sleepless nights ensue, loss of appetite, feelings of gloom and doom emerge, and the cycle of depression begins. Confront the problems head on; let the water out of the tank before it bursts open. Use depression self help to make your way out of the tunnel into the light.

You can use depression self help methods by understanding the root cause. Why are you depressed? Can you think of the exact moment it became noticeable? Perhaps you are experiencing hormonal changes in your body, or you’ve had an illness or death in the family. There could be a variety of reasons, but what is most important is to deal with it head on. Seek counseling if necessary. Do not to allow it to take over your life.

Depression self help requires that you love yourself first and foremost. Look in the mirror every morning and acknowledge the unique person you are; a kind, good and loving person. Then, take charge of your life; nurture it, reward it; and soon the person you used to know will once again be revealed through the smile on your face, and the gleam in your eyes.

How do you deal with low self esteem? There are many ways. Here are some quick tips I’ve used to boost my self esteem:

First, I write out a list of things about myself that I’d like to improve. This list is filled only with things that I have control over. Many of us don’t have control over our physical appearance, so try to stick to things that you can fix, such as personality traits. This is key to conquering low self esteem. List out things you feel you could improve on, put this list next to your computer and then work on them a little every day.

Second, try to determine what relationships are harming you and what relationships are making you happier. Do you have friends that put you down a lot? This is a common cause of low self esteem. If you do, you should consider finding new friends. It sounds like a daunting task, but it’s far from impossible.

Last, learn how to meditate. Meditation relieves stress, a primary cause of low self esteem. Once you learn how to control your stress, you can live a happier, healthier life.

Women are typically harder on themselves than men. They often feel very lonely and depressed, and are overly critical of their own appearance. Unfortunately, these bad feelings often build up and eventually explode, causing a wave of bad emotion to flood over the female.

The key to self esteem for woman begins with you believing in yourself. You need to understand what is causing you to be so critical of yourself. Many women look at others and try to compare themselves. You need to recognize when you are doing this and stop it. When you recognize this happening, just say to yourself, “Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I am as pretty as she is,” and then list off some of your positive traits.

You also need to identify problems in your life that are causing stress in your life. Stress can cause a number of problems on your body and can actually cause health problems. The best way to build self esteem for woman and reduce stress is to make a list of the biggest sources of stress in your life. What is causing you pain? Is it your job? Your husband? Your friends? It may seem like these problems can’t be fixed, but they can - just not always easily. But isn’t your health worth it?

To help reduce stress, list out several goals and positive traits about yourself. Read over them, and keep them in your purse at all times. When you feel the need to break down or you feel overwhelmed, look over this list and remember to be strong. This will not only help build self esteem for woman, it will help you when you feel depressed and at your lowest points. Remember…just stick through it, because you can do it!

Do you feel lonely or depressed? Do you feel like the world has turned on you? Many people feel this way. It is sad, but true - even the “best of us” can have low self esteem at times.

Building self esteem begins with you believing that you can do something about it. You need to recognize which aspects in your life are hurting your self esteem and start to target these harmful things in your life. You need to start to take steps to change the sources of “self esteem killers” in your life. Just small changes in how you perceive yourself makes a huge change in how you life your life.

Many people try to compare their worst achievement with other’s best achievements. Don’t do this. Remember that each individual person has different strengths and weaknesses. One person who might be great at writing might not be as good at drawing. Everyone can do something really well - it’s just often hard to identify what it is you’re good at.

To start building self esteem, follow these 4 simple steps…

First, isolate the aspects of your life that are causing the low self-esteem. Write them all down on a list. Everything that hurts you, has hurt you or that could be a source of stress in the future. Spend at least an hour doing this. You need this to make a positive change in your life.

Second, start narrowing down the sources of stress. Is it people? Perhaps you need to start making new, more positive friends. Is it your job? Maybe you need to consider finding a new job. Even if it pays well, stress can hurt your body both physically and psychologically and shorten your life. No amount of money is worth a shorter life, right?

Third, realize that failures are a part of life. However, learning from your failures is one of the most important parts to building self esteem. Never see yourself as a failure just because you failed at something - learn from the experience. What did you do wrong? How can you do better next time? View it in a positive light. It is possible.

Last, list down all of your positive traits. Tell yourself everything you’re good at, everything you can do, and how much potential you have. Don’t be modest here…this is very important! Once you’re done, tape up this list on your fridge or next to your computer. It’s easy and it works great!
